Amongst the beauty of this country, it’s hard not to notice the pain. The orange color of this boy’s hair comes from a protein deficient diet. This can be common in a country where the main staple is starch. Here they may only eat their local dish, nshima, made of corn or cassava, once a day, every day. Foods higher in protein are more expensive.
