The Story
Children found in
a garbage dump.
Not all people stand strong in the face of extreme responsibility. But Pastor Carlos Baez did. When he found over a dozen children living in a garbage dump in Nicaragua, he did not look away. He took them in and cared for them.
They were malnourished, sleeping in empty rice bags without protection from the elements or access to clean water. Pastor Carlos gave them a home, a family, and a future.
The Movement
A movement
takes shape.
His actions attracted Erik and Linda Sampson of Flutemaker Ministries, and together with A Heart to Love Children’s Ministry, they have provided the children of Cascabel with an opportunity to experience life beyond necessity.
Today, Flutemaker Ministries teaches craftsmanship, agriculture, and life skills to families and children across Nicaragua, building self-sufficiency and dignity in communities that the world forgot.
When I found those children in the garbage dump, I knew God was asking me to do something. I could not walk away.
